D2C home gardening brand Ugaoo raises $2-M from DSG Consumer, RPG Ventures
Pune-based D2C home gardening brand Ugaoo has raised USD 2 million in a pre-Series A round led by DSG Consumer Partners and RPG Ventures. It will use the funds to expand its regional presence with hubs and garden centers in Bengaluru, Delhi and Kolkata, and collaborate with international plant companies to introduce a range of exotic plants and premium plant care products to the Indian market. Founded in 2015 by Siddhant Bhalinge, Ugaao offers live indoor plants, planters, kitchen garden seeds and plant care products through its website as well as marketplaces such as Amazon, Flipkart. The firm claims to have fulfilled more than a million orders in the last six years and aims to produce at least 500,000 plants a month by end of next year.
