D2C milk delivery startup Uzhavarbumi attracts Rs.7-Cr from Anicut Capital
Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu-based direct-to-consumer (D2C) milk delivery startup Uzhavarbumi has attracted INR 7 crore from Anicut Capital. The proceeds will be deployed towards technology infrastructure, for improving plant and machinery equipment, hiring and expanding operations across Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Founded by Vetrivel Palani, Uzhavarbumi promotes direct commerce between farmers and consumers. The company delivers farm-fresh milk to suburbs of Chennai, procuring milk from rural and marginal farmers at a better market price and forming a bridge between the primary producers (farmers) and consumers.
