Daily commute startup Chalo looking to raise $200-M

Chalo, a transport solutions startup, is looking to raise USD 200 million (around INR 1,500 crore) to invest in technology and expand in India and in other countries. The fundraise could value the daily commute solutions startup at about USD 800 million (INR 6,000 crore). The new funding could see the participation of some of the existing investors besides new investors. The company had raised USD 40 million (INR 297 crore) in October 2021, led by Lightrock India and Filter Capital, with participation from other investors, including Raine Venture Partners, WaterBridge Ventures, former Google Inc executive Amit Singhal and former WhatsApp Inc executive Neeraj Arora.
