Dairy alternative startup Brown Foods raises $2.36 M from Y Combinator, others
Dairy alternatives startup Brown Foods has raised USD 2.36 million in a funding round that saw participation from Y Combinator, AgFunder, SRI Capital, Amino Capital, Collaborative Fund and angel investors such as Kunal Shah. Brown Foods offers lab-based animal-free milk under the ‘UnReal Milk' brand which it claims is ‘exactly similar' to cow's milk. The startup has a presence in the US and India. It will use the new funds to scale operations and ramp up product development.
