Dark stores operator Zippee raises funding from Haldiram's, VCs, angels

E-commerce fulfilment platform Zippee has raised funding from snacking giant Haldiram's and angel investors. The round also saw participation from institutional investors such as FounderBank Capital, PiperSerica and Misfits Fund. Angel participants in the capital raise included Ashneer Grover, CRED's Kunal Shah, Peyush Bansal of Lenskart, EaseMyTrip's Prashant Pitti, and Aakash Anand of Bella Vita Organic. The firm has raised USD 1.7 million since its inception. The startup will use the funding to expand its footprint to 15 new cities and strengthen its stack. A part of the capital will also be deployed to ramp up hiring across verticals. Founded in 2021 by Madhav Kasturia, Zippee (formerly ZFW Dark Store) enables D2C brands to offer same-day deliveries to e-commerce customers through its dark-stores network. Zippee is backed by US-based logistics fund Riso Capital, and South Asia Tech Partners, among others.
