Data privacy startup Privado raises $14-M from Insight, Sequoia, others
Data privacy startup Privado has raised USD 14 million (about INR 111 crore) in a Series A round co-led by US-based Insight Partners and Sequoia Capital India. Existing investors Together Fund and Emergent Ventures also participated in the financing round. The fresh capital will be used to enhance Privado's technology stack, hire talent and grow its open-source community. Privado addresses privacy issues that businesses face. The company offers an open-source code scanning solution that identifies data usage, discovers data flows and flags issues like excessive user permissions or data leakages to logs. In January, Privado had raised its seed funding of USD 3.5 million.
