Diabetes mgmt focused Fitterfly raises $12-M from Amazon, Fireside Ventures, others

Fitterfly, a Mumbai-based healthtech startup, has raised USD 12 million in a Series A funding round led by Amazon (via its Smbhav Venture Fund) and Fireside Ventures. Others who participated in this round include 9 Unicorns, Venture Catalysts and Nihar Parikh (founder, 4point0 Health Ventures) and Sriram Natarajan (founder, Molbio). Fitterfly offers digital therapeutic programs and is championing an approach to control diabetes by focusing on personalized glycemic response-based coaching. The new funding will be used to increase Diabefly's reach to prevent, manage and reverse diabetes. It will also be used to enhance Fitterfly's technology stack.
