DroneAcharya Aerial raises funding from actors Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, others
Bollywood actors Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor have invested in IPO-bound, Pune-headquartered DroneAcharya Aerial. Other than the Bollywood celebrities, well known public market investor Shankar Sharma has also picked a minority stake in the company. Other angel investors include VC Kartik, Mangina Srinivas Rao (previously associated with ITC e-Chaupal), Jay Vishwanathan, Samit Bhartia, Harshal Morde, and Ashish Nanda (founder and MD of UAE-based Innovations Group). DroneAcharya offers drone solutions for enterprises in mining, agriculture, oil & gas, powerlines, highways, shipping, and urban & rural planning. The company plans to acquire 100-plus new drones as a part of its expansion plan.
