Edelweiss Alternatives raises $425-M under 3rd Special Situation Fund
Edelweiss Alternative Asset Advisors (EAAA) has raised USD 425 million (INR 3,400 crore) for its third Special Situations Fund (ISAF III). It has got commitments from global investors, including large insurance companies and pension funds as well as HNIs and family offices from India. The fund is targeting to raise USD 1 Billion with a green shoe option of USD 500 million. The fund focusses on asset heavy companies and identifies viable underlying businesses with a strong turnaround potential. It also invests in situations where the resolution of asset requires capital and domain expertise.
