Edtech startup Invact Metaversity raises funds from Kishore Biyani, Mohandas Pai, others

San Francisco- and Bengaluru-based Invact Metaversity, a startup at the intersection of education and metaverse, has raised funds from more than 70 global corporate leaders and founders of unicorns. The funding round, which values the Manish Maheshwari-led edtech startup at USD 33 million, saw participation from Kishore Biyani (Future Group), TV Mohandas Pai (Manipal Global Education), Dr Ritesh Malik (Plaksha), and Kirthiga Reddy (former Facebook India head). Entrepreneurs from startups like Zilingo, Zerodha, Razorpay, Sheroes, Snapdeal, Koo, Cars24, Bounce, Leap Finance, Suki, etc also chipped in. Global leaders from Microsoft, Meta (previously, Facebook), Coinbase, Google, Twitter, Uber, Amazon, Softbank, among others have also joined the financing. Last December, Maheshwari announced that he is quitting the microblogging platform Twitter India to launch his own edtech venture.
