Edtech startup Wise raises $5-M from Weekend Fund, Shrug Capital, others
Bangalore-based edtech startup Wise, which enables educators to easily set up online classrooms, has raised $5 million in funding from Weekend Fund, Shrug Capital, RemoteFirst Capital, Taurus VC, Operators Partners and individual investors including James Beshara, William Hockey and Ankur Nagpal (founder Teachable, Vibe Capital). The new funds will be used by the startup to expand its global footprint.
