Education loans firm Avanse raises Rs 800-Cr from Kedaara Capital

Kedaara Capital will invest INR 800 crore in Mumbai-based Avanse Financial Services Ltd, an education loans focused non-banking financial company (NBFC). The fresh funds will be used to expand the firm's outreach to a larger number of students. Avendus Capital acted as the exclusive financial advisor for the transaction, and Khaitan & Co, as the legal counsel to Kedaara Capital. As of December 2022, the company's AUM stands at INR 8,000 crore. Warburg Pincus continues to be the majority shareholder in Avanse.
