Electric bike maker Oben raises $1.5 M from We Founder Circle

Bengaluru-based electric 2-wheelers maker Oben EV has raised USD 1.5 million in a seed round from We Founder Circle and others. The firm, which was founded by IIT Kharagpur and IIM Bangalore alumni, Madhumita Agarwal and Dinkar Agarwal, received funding from notable investors at We Founder Circle, Rakesh Somani (co-founder of Life Element); Gaurav Juneja (serial investor, Eminent Cars); Siddharth Shah (Managing Director, Rajesh Motors) and other angels such as Sumeet Pathak, Dr. Milan Modi and Dr. Aloknath. Oben EV will use the newly raised funds to launch their product in the market, accelerate new product development, and expand experience centres. One-year old Oben EV would launch its first product, an electric bike, in March 2022.
