Email newsletter firm The Signal raises funding from LetsVenture, Rainmatter Capital, others

Frontpage Media Technologies, the Noida-headquartered parent company of email newsletter publisher The Signal, which seeks to disrupt how people follow news and what they consume, has raised funding led by LetsVenture. VC fund Capital A and fintech-focused fund Rainmatter Capital also participated in the round. Other investors in the company include CRED's Miten Sampat, Zomato co-founder Deepinder Goyal, Unacademy co-founder Gaurav Munjal, Haptik co-founder Aakrit Vaish, Vue.ai founder Ashwini Asokan and DealStreetAsia founder and CEO Joji Philip Thomas. Co-founded by Dinesh Narayanan, The Signal offers an email newsletter, which goes out six times a week, featuring a dozen stories in each edition, offering context and commentary from a team of experienced journalists. Signal claims to have more than 38,000 subscribers. Each Saturday, Signal publishes original stories in a newsletter called The Intersection.
