Energy distribution player Repos Energy raises Rs.56-Cr from Ratan Tata, others
Pune-based Repos Energy has raised INR 56 crore in equity and debt in a pre-Series A round of funding from Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons, Ratan Tata, and other investors. The startup - which has begun with doorstep ordering of diesel via its mobile app - is working on bringing renewable energies such as ethanol, methanol and biofuels on its mobile distribution network. Founded by husband-wife duo, Chetan Walunj and Aditi Bhosale Walunj, Repos plans to use the funds in building its product line, expansion into different geographies of India, as well as for team-building.
