Farm advisory platform AgroStar acquires fruits exporter INI Farms

Pune-headquartered agritech startup AgroStar has acquired Mumbai-based horticulture focused INI Farms Pvt Ltd through a cash and stock deal. INI Farms, founded in 2009, exports fruits and vegetables such as bananas and pomegranates. It markets products under the 'Kimaye' brand. Through this acquisition, AgroStar will help farmers in marketing their products in the domestic as well as overseas markets. Founded in 2013, AgroStar's omni-channel platform provides end-to-end solutions for farmers helping them grow better, reduce their cost of cultivation and increase their yield. AgroStar is targeting to grow its revenue to more than INR 1,000 crore in the next fiscal year.
