Fintech startup IppoPay raises $2.1 M from Coinbase Ventures, Better Capital, others

Chennai-based neo-bank IppoPay has raised USD 2.1 million in a seed round from Coinbase Ventures, Better Capital, Blume Founders Fund, and a number of angel investors. It will use the funds to strengthen its technology stack, including its payments engine, as well as power its growth into new regions and market segments. Founded in November 2020, IppoPay provides merchants with business bank accounts, debit cards, and an end-to-end payments stack for their businesses. It helps businesses, freelancers, homepreneurs, and people who do business in tier II and III cities, and rural areas.

From the Venture Intelligence PE-VC Deal Database: In Sep-21, IppoPay had raised USD 250,000 in pre-seed funding from Better Capital along with Prabhu Rangarajan (co-founder of M2P) and Sailesh Ramakrishnan (partner at Rocketship VC).
