Fintech startup PayGlocal raises $4.9 M from Sequoia Capital India, BeeNext, others
Bengaluru-based payment solutions startup PayGlocal has raised USD 4.9 million in a Series A funding round led by Sequoia Capital India, along with investors such as BeeNext, Jitendra Gupta, and Amrish Rau. It will use the funds to scale its cross border merchant payments solution and expand the team (by at least 50% by March 2022). Founded in 2021 by ex-Visa executives Prachi Dharani, Rohit Sukhija, and Yogesh Lokhande, PayGlocal enables merchants to accept and collect payments from customers residing outside India in the currency of their choice and using their own credit and debit cards. It has partnered with private and public sector banks to accept international payments.
