Fintech unicorn Slice in talks to raise $55-M in Series C at $2-B valuation

Bengaluru-based fintech unicorn Slice is in talks to raise USD 55 million in the first tranche of its Series C round. The startup is raising the funds at a valuation between USD 1.8 billion and USD 2 billion. The round will see participation from existing investors Tiger Global and Insight Partners along with some new investors. The startup is raising the new round for acquisition purposes. Slice became a unicorn four months ago when raising USD 220 million. The round was led by New York-based hedge fund Tiger Global along with Insight Partners. The round also saw investment from Advent International's Sunley House Capital, Moore Strategic Ventures, Anfa, and Gunosy. Its existing investors Blume Ventures and 8i also participated in that round. Slice issues credit cards and payments cards in partnership with Visa and SBM Bank, while also offering rewards and discounts from payments. The fintech startup provides a credit line starting from INR 10,000 going up to INR 10 lakh.
