Gold loans player Bold Finance raises $1.5 M from Kae Capital, Antler India, others

Mumbai-based fintech startup Bold Finance has raised USD 1.5 million in a seed round led by Kae Capital, with participation from existing investor Antler India and several angel investors, including Nitin Gupta (Uni Cards), Ishpreet Gandhi (Stride Ventures), Shashikant Dola (McKinsey & Co), Tushar Mehndiratta (Avail Finance), and Vadiraj Kulkarni (CEO, ITC). Founded by IIT Roorkee alumni, the firm aims to improve credit availability for users from the lower and middle-income segments and residents of Tier II and III cities. Bold Finance offers gold loans and is building a tech platform and operations layer that empowers jewellers to work with multiple banks to dispense loans and grow their businesses sustainably. The company has opened over 50 branches in Mumbai suburbs within seven months.
