HCL acquires majority stake in vernacular edtech platform GUVI
IT Services major HCL has acquired a majority stake in vernacular edtech platform GUVI. The IIT-Madras and CIIE (IIM-Ahmedabad) incubated startup offers technical courses such as web development, AI module, SQL and various tailor-made courses created by industry experts in regional languages to learners, universities and employers.
From the Venture Intelligence PE-VC Deal Database: Between Apr-2019 and Apr-2020, GUVI had raised over INR 7 Cr from CBA Capital and Gray Matters Capital. (Subscribers to the database can login to view the valuation, deal structuring and other transaction details.)
