Hearth Ventures invests $1.3 M in US-based ethnic fashion brand Shobitam
Mumbai-based Hearth Ventures (via its affiliate Baaya Ventures) has made a USD 1.275 million seed investment in Shobitam Inc, a Seattle, USA-based startup. Founded by Aparna and Ambika Thyagarajan, Shobitam is a D2C online platform for ethnic fashion, starting with sarees, apparel and fashion jewellery. The investment marks the maiden investment of Hearth Ventures, a fund aimed at handicraft and “circular economy†(ie, re-use focused) enterprises.
