HR-tech co Kula raises $12-M from Sequoia India, Square Peg, others

Walnut, CA (USA)- and Chennai-based ​​recruitment automation platform Kula has raised USD 12 million in additional seed funding led by Sequoia Capital India and Square Peg. The round also saw participation from existing investors VH Capitaland Together Fund and some existing angel investors. Founded in 2021, Kula helps companies and recruiters to widen their talent pool by unifying all sources and automating the top candidate outreach and engagement. The firm plans to use the funds for the expansion of R&D, products, and to hire talent for go-to-market teams across the three offices in the US, Singapore, and India. The founding team at Kula comprises co-founders Achuthanand Ravi, Sathappan M, and Suman Kumar Dey.
