Hydroponics farming player Nutrifresh raises $5-M

Pune-based agritech startup Nutrifresh has raised USD 5 million (around INR 39 crore) in its seed round led by Theodore Cleary (Archer Investments), Sandiip Bhammer (Green Frontier Capital), Sky Kurtz (Pure Harvest AE) and Mathew Cyriac (Florintree Advisors and ex-Blackstone India), among others. Nutrifresh provides nutrient-rich hydroponic produce. Its clients include business-to-business (B2B) aggregators such as Nature's Basket, Big Basket, Swiggy, Kissan Konnect, McDonalds, Venky's, Amazon Fresh and Reliance Fresh. The firm plans to use the fresh capital to scale up operations, implement better traceability of produce, for marketing and to create a farm-tech platform. Nutrifresh also aims to enhance the production capacities and standardize the production process.
