Industrial robotics startup Peppermint raise Rs.5-Cr from Venture Catalysts, others
Peppermint, a Pune-based industrial robotics startup, has raised Rs 5 crore in a funding round led by Venture Catalysts and Indian Angel Network along with participation of Vinners Group and a clutch of angels led by Castrol India's former CEO Naveen Kumar Kshatriya. The fresh capital will be utilised for ramping up the production capacity. A part of the funding will be earmarked for research and development (R&D) as well as expansion in India and the Middle East. Incubated at IIT-Bombay's SINE, Peppermint has built what is claimed to be India's first industrial floor-cleaning robot, which helps automate housekeeping and service operations across industries, warehouses, airports, offices and public spaces.
