Infosys acquires Denmark-based life sciences focused consulting firm BASE for $110-M
Publicly-listed IT services company Infosys is to acquire BASE life science, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based technology and consulting firm, for EUR 110 million (about USD 110 million). BASE has a presence across Denmark, Switzerland, the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, and France. The revenues of the target firm, which employs about 200 professionals, for the last three fiscal years (ending June) were EUR 26.6 million (FY 22 estimate), EUR 17.7 million (FY 21) and EUR 11.5 million (FY 20). Founded in 2007, BASE has a strong focus on Data & AI, integrating business logic and technology, driving insights for better health outcomes. It brings to Infosys, expertise in areas such as commercial, medical, digital marketing, clinical, regulatory, and quality knowhow in the life sciences domain. BASE collaborates with software technology providers in the life sciences industry such as Veeva, Iqvia and Salesforce. Together with Infosys, Base will expand its portfolio of expertise into Consumer Health, Animal Health, MedTech and Genomics segments.
