KIMS Hospital to acquire 51% stake in Sunshine Hospitals for Rs.362-Cr
Publicly listed Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) is to acquire a 51.07% stake in fellow Hyderabad-based Sunshine Hospitals for INR 362.78 crore (USD 48 million). The acquisition is expected to help KIMS consolidate its position as a leading provider of tertiary care services in its key markets and bring onboard an orthopaedic surgical team led by Dr AV Gurava Reddy. Sunshine Hospitals currently operates at three locations in Telangana, out of which two are in Hyderabad (Secunderabad and Gachibowli), and the third is in Karimnagar. With a total bed strength of over 600, it is a leading player in the joint replacement and spine department. For FY21, Sunshine Hospitals reported revenues of INR 411.8 crore and operating EBITDA of INR 75.2 cror
