Kitchenware brand Wonderchef raises $20-M from Sixth Sense, others; Capvent exits
Mumbai-based Wonderchef Home Appliances, a premium kitchenware brand, has raised INR 150 crore (USD 20 million) in a funding round led by Sixth Sense Ventures, with participation from Godrej Family Office, Malpani Group and a few other high networth individuals (HNIs). The deal involves a secondary component through which Capvent - which had invested in Wonderchef in 2015 - has taken an exit. The primary capital raised will be used for strengthening online presence and capability, expanding and deepening distribution network, and enhancing branding initiatives. Founded by Ravi Saxena in 2009, the company markets its products through an omni-channel distribution network.
