KKR, Hero Group to invest $450-M in Hero Future Energies
Global Private Equity investor KKR, via its Asia Pacific Infrastructure Fund, will invest USD 450 million (INR 3,585 crore) in Delhi-based renewable energy firm Hero Future Energies (HFE), alongside the parent Hero Group. This investment will support HFE in its efforts to expand renewable energy capacity and capabilities across technologies such as solar, wind, battery storage, and green hydrogen, and also expand into new markets. Founded in 2012, Hero Future Energies is an independent power producer with a portfolio of 1.6 GW of operating assets across utility and commercial and industrial sectors.
Between Aug-16 and Nov-19, Hero Future Energies had raised over USD 257 million from Mubadala Investment and IFC.
