KKR raises $6.4 B Asian infrastructure fund
Global investment firm KKR & Co had raised USD 6.4 Billion for its new fund focused on infrastructure and energy related investments across the Asia Pacific region. The fund received backing from new and existing global investors including public and corporate pensions, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, endowment funds, and asset managers.The new fund's mandate covers renewables, power and utilities, water and wastewater, digital infrastructure, and transportation. It has already committed more than half of its capital across some 10 investments.In 2021, KKR had raised USD 3.9 Billion for its inaugural Asia Pacific-dedicated infrastructure fund, KKR Asia Pacific Infrastructure Investors SCSp.
