Litigation funding provider FightRight launches Rs.100-Cr fund for HNIs
FightRight Technologies, a Kolkata-based legaltech startup that leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning -backed analytics to fund commercial litigations, has launched an INR 100 crore fund aimed at high net worth individuals (HNIs). The fund, a special purpose vehicle (SPV), will invest in 15-20 commercial cases with an average ticket size of INR 5-7 crore for a tenure of 2-3 years. The fund will allow HNIs to invest in litigation cases where the annualised return on investment (RoI) is expected to be upwards of 30%. Founded in 2020 by Nitin Jain and Vishal Mangal, FightRight provides clients with funding to cover litigation costs, including legal fees, court costs, and other expenses. The startup claims to have already funded claims worth INR 250 crore in the current fiscal.
