Liver-care focused Ytrika Life Sciences raises $1.2 M from Venture Catalysts, others
Ytrika Life Sciences (YLS) Pvt Ltd has raised USD 1.2 million in a seed funding round led by Venture Catalysts, with participation from Indian Scientific Innovation Company Ltd. YLS' team ‘comprises interdisciplinary scientists and clinicians leveraging tech to develop a remedy for acute liver failure. Headed by Dr Mahesh Gopasetty, Dr Akshay Datey and Dr Taru Verma, YLS is developing a biomedical device called Bioengineered Artificial Ectopic Liver (BAEL) that seeks to help clinicians treat patients suffering from liver failure while eliminating the need for an organ transplant, hospitalization, and avoid heavy expenses on the treatment.
