Maharashtra to launch Rs.200-Cr fund to invest in deep tech startups
The Maharashtra state government is to launch a “Maharashtra Innovation and Technological Development Fund†which will have a corpus of INR 200 crore, for investing in early-stage deep tech startups from the state, preferably led by women. The state already has the INR 120-crore Maharashtra Social Venture Fund, managed by the Small Industries Development Bank of India (Sidbi), the INR 330-crore Maharashtra State Defence and Aerospace Fund and the INR 80-crore fund for entrepreneurs hailing from marginalised communities – managed by IDBI Capital.
