Mead maker Ronin Wines raises $2-M led by Anthill Capital
Pune-based Ronin Wines has raised USD 2 million in its ongoing Pre-Series A round led by Anthill Capital. Auxano Capital, Supermorpheus, Merisis Advisors and existing as well as new angel investors also participated in the funding round. Founded by Rohan Rehani, Ronin Wines manufactures homegrown meads and currently operates a sub-brand, Moonshine Meadery. The startup is looking at venturing into the high ABV (alcohol by volume) still-meads segment later this year. The funds will be used to expand its product in existing markets including Maharashtra, Karnataka, Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Assam and Silvassa. The firm will also look to enter Haryana and West Bengal and also, export its products.
