Meat deliverer Licious raises $150-M from Amansa Capital, Kotak PE, others

Bengaluru-based unicorn meat and seafood e-tailer Licious has raised USD 150 million in a Series F2 round led by Amansa Capital, Kotak PE, and Axis Growth Avenues AIF-I. Other existing investors including Nithin and Nikhil Kamath of Zerodha, BoAt's Aman Gupta and Haresh Chawla, Partner, True North also participated in the round. The funds raised through Series F2 will be used for investment in technology development and improving overall customer experience. Licious will also invest in strategic acquisitions to widen and deepen its reach. Founded in 2015, Licious claims to serve over 2 million orders every month across 17 Indian cities. The latest funding round comes six months after the D2C startup became a unicorn with a $52 million Series G round led by IIFL's Late Stage Tech Fund and Avendus.
