Med-tech co MedisimVR raises Rs.3.5 Cr from IP Ventures, Chennai Angels, others

Medtech startup MediSimVR has raised INR 3.5 crore (about USD 458,000) in its pre-Series A round led by Inflection Point Ventures. The round also saw participation from Chennai Angels and Jana Balasubramaniam (a specialist MedTech investor). The funds will be used for scaling up the product offering and adding more skill training content to the library. Founded by Adith Chinnaswami, Sabarish Chandrasekaran and Jeno Manickam, MediSimVR offerings include Procedural Simulation, Virtual Patient Simulation and Clinical education. The firm has been able to onboard about 500 medical students in the last 4 months. The firm's key offering is the virtual reality-based skill training platform, that covers all the skills required in the MBBS curriculum.
