Moonshine Meadery raises Rs.5-Cr led by Rainmatter Capital
Pune-headquartered Ronin Wines, Moonshine Meadery's parent company, has raised over INR 5 crore from Rainmatter Capital and Grip Invest, taking the total value of its ongoing pre-Series A round to INR 12 crore. Investors in the round include Auxano Capital, Supermorpheus, Anthill Capital, and existing and new angel investors. The company plans to use the funds to improve sales and distribution for Moonshine Meads besides expanding the Moonshine Honey Project. Started in 2021, Moonshine Honey Project sells honey through both B2C and B2B channels and has recently taken up bee conservation. The brand is present in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Goa, and Himachal Pradesh. The startup also claims to have a presence in the Middle East, UAE and has just launched in Australia and New Zealand.
