Nexus Venture Partners leads $20-M investment in US tech startup Orkes
California-based application orchestration platform Orkes has raised USD 20 million in a Series A round led by India-US cross border VC firm Nexus Venture Partners, with participation from Battery Ventures and Vertex Ventures, US. Nexus managing director Abhishek Sharma will join the Orkes board.Orkes provides a cloud-hosted version of the open-source microservice orchestration software called Conductor. Companies such as Atlassian, Tesla and Oracle, along with government entities, including the UK’s Ministry of Justice, use Orkes’ open-source Conductor project. Founded in 2021 Orkes is led by Jeu George, Co-Founder and CEO.Orkes will use the new funding to build out its AI orchestration platform that is claimed to make it easier for businesses to weave complex generative AI-powered workflows into existing and new applications. It will also continue to grow the Conductor open-source platform and community.
