Oncology player Immuneel Therapeutics raises $15-M led by Eight Roads, True North
Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw co-founded Immuneel Therapeutics, a Bengaluru-based biotech startup that develops cell and gene therapies for cancer, has raised USD 15 million in Series A financing round co-led by Eight Roads Ventures (and its group firm F-Prime Capital) as well as Indian private equity firm, True North. Immuneel Therapeutics is developing a pipeline of chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapies and other cellular immunotherapies for management and treatment of cancer. The company had previously raised USD 15 million from UHNI, pharma founders and US-based venture capital funds. It will use the new funds to advance its development pipeline and scale.
