Online gaming startup Rooter raises $16-M led by Lightbox
Delhi-based gaming-focused streaming startup Rooter has raised USD 16 million (INR 131 crore) through debt and equity in a growth round led by Lightbox with participation from Trifecta Capital, Pivot Ventures, Baldota Family Office, Global Play Media, Denlow Private Trust, Venture Catalysts, and Potential Ventures. The fresh capital will be used to improve Rooter's tech capabilities, sharpen its existing offerings, and enhance the user experience on its platform. The funds will also be used to acquire creator tools and tech tools that will support creators on the platform.
From the Venture Intelligence PE-VC Deal Database: Between January 2019 and February 2022, Rooter had raised over USD 27.23 million from Lightbox, InnoVen Capital, Duane Park, Capital A, Goal Ventures, Paytm, RB Investments, Anthill Ventures, Rockstud Capital and others.
