Online gold loan platform Rupeek in talks to raise $50-M

Online gold loan platform Rupeek is in talks with existing investors to raise USD 50 million in an extended Series E round that is reportedly likely to happen at a pre-money valuation of USD 640 million - the same at which the firm raised the previous round. Rupeek provides loans against gold as collateral with interest rates ranging from 5.88% to 21.48%. The six-year-old company claims that it has over five lakh customers in over 30 cities across India.
