Open source platform Appsmith raises $41-M from Insight Partners, Accel, others
Appsmith, a Bangalore-based open source platform for internal development teams to build custom apps, has raised USD 41 million in a Series B funding round led by Insight Partners with participation from existing investors Accel India, Canaan Partners. OSS Capital and individual investors also participated. The company currently has 95 employees spread across 16 countries, mostly in India followed by the US and Nigeria. The new investment will be used to concentrate on the open source community before building the commercial product.
