Paytm IPO raises Rs.8,235-Cr from anchor investors
One97 Communications Ltd, which operates financial services brand Paytm, has raised INR 8,235 crore (USD 1.1 billion) from anchor investors. The placement, which was oversubscribed 10 times, saw participation from 74 domestic and foreign institutional investors, with 21 of them bidding greater than INR 100 crore. With this, Paytm's IPO has already secured 45% of its total INR 18,300 crore size. Top anchor investors included Blackrock, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), Aditya Birla Mutual Fund and Government of Singapore (GIC). The IPO also saw participation from Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), City of New York, Texas Teachers Retirement. Standard Life Aberdeen, Vanguard, Fidelity and UBS.
