Plant-based protein seller Evolved Foods raises Rs.7.3 Cr from Rainmatter, others

Bengaluru-based Evolved Foods, a plant-based protein maker, has raised INR 7.3 crore in a seed round of funding led by Zerodha-backed Rainmatter Capital and Kamala Capital. The round also saw participation from Anvitha Prashanth, Aprameya Radhakrishna, Rachel Goenka, Karan Khetarpal, B G Mahesh, Sushant Arora, Swapnil Shah, and Vananam Ventures Trust. Founded by Roma Roy Choudhury, Evolved uses soy, coconut, and rice protein to make their signature offering: Evolved Plant Meat. The funds raised will be used to build efficiencies across production and supply chain operations.
