Economic Times

San Francisco- and Sydney-headquartered Chronicle has raised USD 7.5 million from Accel India and Square Peg in its seed round. The round also saw the participation of angel investors from Apple, Google, Meta, Slack, Stripe, Superhuman, OnDeck, and Adobe. Shekhar Kirani, Partner, Accel India led the round for Accel. Founded in 2021 by IIT-Bombay alumni Mayuresh Patole and Tejas Gawande, Chronicle is a fully remote team of 15 operating across the US, India, and Australia. The product is currently running in closed beta and focuses on helping founders make pitch decks. The fresh funds will allow the firm to build the core team and deliver the product to its early users. Chronicle allows users to create their stories with ‘pre-designed blocks'. It offers a dummy-proof creation experience with layouts designed like arranging widgets on an iPhone.
