Public transport tech service Chalo raises $14-M more led by Lightrock
Mumbai-based bus tracking and ticketing service provider Chalo has raised USD 13.89 million from Lightrock India, Kalaari Capital and Matrix Venture Partners. Lightrock led the round with USD 7.8 million while Matrix and Kalaari infused USD 3.03 and USD 3 million respectively. Between Dec-2017 and Oct-2021, Chalo had raised over USD 60 million from Lightrock India, WaterBridge Ventures, The Raine Group, Filter Capital, Burman Family Office, VH Capital, AdvantEdge Partners, Shunwei Capital, Xiaomi and WaterBridge Ventures.
From the Venture Intelligence PE-VC Deal Database: In Oct-21, Chalo had raised around USD 40 million (about INR 297.8 crore) led by Lightrock India and Filter Capital. The Series C round also saw participation from existing investors WaterBridge Ventures, Raine Venture Partners, Neeraj Arora (former Chief Business Officer of WhatsApp) and Amit Singhal (former Google SVP).
