QIA buys Adani Green stake for about $500-M

Qatar's sovereign wealth fund Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) has acquired a more than 2.5% stake in publicly listed Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) for about USD 500 million. QIA unit INQ Holding LLC purchased 4.26 crore shares, or 2.68% of AGEL, from Infinite Trade and Investment, a AGEL promoter entity, via the open market at INR 920 per share. AGEL, which has an operational portfolio of 8.3 GW of renewable energy capacity, aims to build 45 GW capacity by FY30.
