Rail ticket booking platform Trainman raises funding
Trainman, a Gurugram-based train ticket booking platform, has raised funding from investors Vijay Aggarwal, CTO- BharatPe; Nitin Gupta, CEO- Mall 91; Vishal Kanodia (Director, Kanodia Cement) among others. The funds will be used for further enhancement and optimization of its multi-modal platform for train travellers. The startup is the official train booking partner of IRCTC. Trainman app offers services such as train ticket booking, checking seat availability, PNR status, running live status, coach position and fare calculator. It was founded in 2016 by Vineet Chirania and Karan Kumar, IIT Roorkee graduates.
