Sachin Tendulkar invests in cricket-focussed NFT startup Rario
Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has made a strategic investment in Rario, a licensed digital cricket collectibles platform, which has entered the non-fungible token (NFT) market. This would allow fans from around the world to own his digital collectibles on Rario.com. Rario claims to have partnerships with Cricket Australia, New Zealand Cricket, Big Bash League, Women's Big Bash League, Super Smash, Hero Caribbean Premier League, Lanka Premier League, Abu Dhabi T10 League, and Legends League Cricket. It also claims to have over 900 international cricketers and over 30 exclusive brand ambassadors on board.
From the Venture Intelligence PE-VC Deal Database: In Apr-22, Rario had raised USD 120 million led by Dream Capital with participation from Alpha Wave Global, Animoca Brands, Presight Capital, and Kingsway Capital.
