Seafood startup Captain Fresh to raise $7-M from BII

Bengaluru-headquartered B2B (business-to-business) seafood startup Captain Fresh is raising close to USD 7 million (INR 58 crore) from British International Investment (BII), the UK’s development finance institution. The startup has allotted around 500 Series C7 compulsory convertible preference shares (CCPS) to BII which translates into an around 1.45% stake.Founded in 2019, Captain Fresh provides a fish and seafood supply chain platform. The company leverages technology to deliver freshwater fish and seafood to retailers.
